With a Masters degree in Communications Design focusing on Branding and Package Design and a Bachelor's degree in fine arts and textiles, Pinar Lacroix has 11 years of experience as a creative, with 7+ years in Package Design in the cosmetics industry with previous experiences in fashion, home textiles and arts.

She is a forward thinking, innovative and fast hands-on conceptual Art Director, a leader as well as a fellow designer, proficient in all graphic design related softwares such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign with experience on photo-shoots. ln addition to her knowledge of print production as a designer, she also has knowledge on HTML, flash and web platform enough to work with web developers. She is familiar with the process of engineering and 3-D modeling.

Pinar has worked as a full-time employee as well as a consultant at leading personal care/cosmetics companies. She has motivating coaching management skills, which she gained during her teaching experience at Pratt Institute, shortly after earning her masters. She has a sensitive eye for color and typography proven with successful press approvals, and project management skills that ensure the specifications are met from inception to production within the necessary timelines.

Current projects include: Avon, Limited Brands, Wormser Corporation Innovations, CCL Industries, Fragrance Acq., Niche Haircare Company (Dr. Miracle's, Inc.) and start-ups (jewelry company, travel agency, organic food store etc...) branding, packaging and marketing collateral.


• Designed innovative packaging for the cosmetics/beauty industry with ideation team and engineer.

• Researching and creating concepts and mood boards for Holiday projects and designing graphic options for gift sets.

• Understand a client challenge and translate it into innovative opportunities and design solutions.
• Implement creative procedures, timelines and maintain organization to ensure efficient workflow.

• Responsible for design of creative aspects focusing on package design and development for new product lines; including but not limited to branding, marketing collateral, advertising and online presence.

• Working closely with product developers and international retail partners to make sure company brand values and image are followed.
• Generating names for new and existing products and services, coming up with ideas for new packaging designs, including shape, size, colours, fonts and imagery.
• Collaborate with Marketing, PR and Sales on new hair-care and skin-care product launches to ensure that press and online efforts are in line with brand positioning and design marketing materials.
• Hire and provide art direction for freelancers additional to preparing visual presentations that include but are not limited to slides, boards, 3D models, mock-ups, compositions.

• Developing new graphics for global skincare to re-image existing look.
• Designing secondary packaging and graphics for Fragrance.
• Designed logos for color cosmetics.
• Translating and re-writing copy on existing products for Turkish retail market while identifying, analyzing brand, customer, consumer, and competitive information into the international development of Bath& Body Works.

Package Designer

Bath and Body Works, New York City

 

• Responsible for managing the packaging graphic design process on specific brands such as Signature and Luxe collections from project inception to final produced packaging.
• Utilized graphic arts to design packages and manage 3D comps for presentations under tight deadlines for both internal and external audiences.
• Developed production skills by building relationships with cross-functional teams - Engineering, Marketing, outside studios and vendors- to ensure successful conceptualization, development and execution of package design specs are met.
• Oversaw mechanical artists, attended press runs and approved print runs to assure the final product meets the expected quality.
